With the exception of actually sleeping outside, I consider myself to be an outdoorsy, nature-y sort of person. I walk or jog pretty much every day and have many preferred routes. Sunshine, trees, fresh air – it’s all great. But very rarely, things happen that pit my Treehugger self against my Squealy Princess self. Today was kind of a series of such unfortunate nature events.
Very rarely, something happens in our Midwestern surroundings that rocks our collective boat and causes us to question everything we have known up until that point.
